Going for villages and sanctuaries

Going to the discovery of villages, parish churches and churches is an excellent way to discover the mountain culture up close and an excellent starting point to breathe the ancient and authentic air proper to the spirit of these places.

The streets suspended between the past and the present times

Do you know the classic nuclei of stone houses, small agglomerations where from one window to another you still greet each other, where the stone walls still have a lot to tell and time seems to have stopped?

This is how the villages of Monghidoro present themselves: Pergoloso, Frassineta, Vincareto, Pallerano and many others that still maintain their uniqueness halfway between past and present.

And then you know, in these villages and their surroundings it is easy to find typical trattorias where you can taste the true flavors of the past!

The Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Boschi

Have you ever seen a shrine where, in the summer, mass is celebrated outdoors, on the lawn? It happens in BOM, at the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Boschi, where you can also admire the eighteenth-century stuccoes, a canvas depicting Saint Joseph, Saint John the Baptist and Saint Anthony of excellent workmanship, a statue of the Virgin of Sorrows who enjoys great devotion and a splendid stained glass window painting depicting the Immaculate Virgin, recently built and perfectly integrated into the context.

The Lourdes grotto is in Monghidoro!

We are in the Camping Church, already mentioned from the 14th century and today the result of repeated renovations.

Right here we find a very unusual detail for the Apennines: the reproduction of the Lourdes grotto, commissioned in 1923! Are you curious? Come and see!

Come visit!

Tasty tours, natural well-being, paths of history, mysteries and legends, trekking and bike paths: discover the lands of BOM and let us advise you for your next holiday in the Apennines
