there Gothic Line

The Gothic Line was the last fortified defensive work built by the German army in north-central Italy during the final stages of the Italian campaign in World War II. Due to its natural conformation, the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines were a natural barrier and a key crossing point between northern and central Italy. Precisely for this reason, some of the bloodiest battles of the war of liberation took place in our mountains and dramatic massacres took place whose scars are still visible.
